What To Expect – Our Terms & Conditions.
Refund Policy.
All sales are final. By engaging Arielle Executive, clients acknowledge that fees are for personalised consultancy services and as such are non-refundable. Once payment has been made, our work begins. There are no refunds.
Preparation For Brand Discovery.
We take your booking seriously, and we know that you do too. We prepare for your session, and to achieve optimum results, it’s important that you also do.
Being a boutique business, we service a limited number of clients each week. When you do not prepare for Brand Discovery, it reduces our time available to service other clients.
Direction.
It is our expectation that you will be clear on your career direction once we commence the branding process (or clear that we’ll build you a platform brand approach which is broader than a single positioning, which you can use to explore the market). Completing your Career Meditation may facilitate this clarity, if you don’t already have it, as you’ll gain insight into your strengths and the work you’ve enjoyed the most throughout your career.
If you find that you require assistance in clarifying your direction, we request that you let us know at least 3 days PRIOR (i.e. more than 72 business hours) to Brand Discovery so that we can arrange a Strategic Career Coaching session (cost is not included in your branding package). This may be held either before or after your Brand Discovery Consultation, depending upon your unique situation. We will be able to assess this once we have insight into the options you are considering.
Failure to provide this notice may incur a reschedule fee.
If during your Brand Discovery session, it becomes apparent that you aren’t clear on your direction, and this significantly extends the duration of your Brand Discovery session, we may charge you for this career coaching separately. This session fee will need to be paid prior to release of documents.
If following your Brand Discovery consultation you change directions (or following receipt of your first draft), we may charge you additionally for expansion of scope for the additional work associated with this.
The Brand Discovery Session.
Your Brand Discovery session with us is a 1 – 1.5 hour long discussion, held over the phone, about your career history and your commercial value to the market. This is where we will get to know the ins and outs of where your expertise sits, as well as who you are as a person, in order for us to be able to weave a clear and cohesive narrative around your expertise that highlights your own unique value proposition and aligns this to your next step.
We dive into your background to garner the necessary information from you to position your experience as a fit for your intended direction. This conversation needs to be targeted to be effective, and it is important that you allow this session to be steered and guided by your consultant for maximum results.
We appreciate that you will have questions that you’ll want to cover. Some of these questions must be reserved for the Elevator Pitch / Job Search Strategy coaching portion of your package. Other questions will require additional coaching to be purchased as an add on product, if time does not allow within your package.
Topics that will not be covered during your Brand Discovery session, as they do not pertain to the branding work that comes from this consultation, are:
- How to discuss difficult exits during interview;
- How to talk about roles that are a blemish or could be seen as a digression from your career to date;
- Spinning negative experiences into positives;
- Maternity leave / age discrimination / career breaks / unfair dismissals – with respect to framing this for recruiters;
- Discussing situations where you left a role without another one to go to, and how to position this verbally;
- General interview coaching conversations;
- General questions about recruiters and recruitment processes.
Please note, following consultation, we may send you further targeted questions via email. This may arise in the following circumstances, though is not limited to these situations:
- to ensure that we garner the necessary information in order to build your brand i.e. answers to questions that you may not have had on hand for your session such as quantifiable data to support your achievements;
- to scope out your extra-curricular activities i.e. publications, voluntary experience, board appointments, outside of core profiling work.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you revert to your consultant in an efficient manner. Please be aware that not doing so may delay the production of your documents beyond our 7 business day turnaround, as this information is required in order to craft your brand.
Our standard consulting hours are after business hours, to enable our communication to be without interruption.
Delivery Times.
Your branding engagement with us is a 22 business day engagement from the date of initial consultation. By business day 22, you will have received your entire package. It is important that we maintain these timeframes.
Business Day 0: Consultation 1 – 1.5 hours.
Business Day 7: First draft of your branded career documents issued in Microsoft Word and sent via email. This date is pending any outstanding information required from you. If we require additional information from you following your Brand Discovery session, we appreciate your prompt and timely response.
Business Day 17: Final version cut off. You must have submitted your initial round 1 edits and approved your Consultant’s 2nd round of edits for finalisation within this timeframe. Once you are happy with your LinkedIn content, you will need to copy and paste it onto the platform yourself. We are not able to access your LinkedIn profile for you on your behalf.
Business Day 22: 30-min Elevator Pitch and Job Search Strategy Coaching Call completed.
The Edits Process.
We recommend that you take a couple of days to review the first drafts of your professional brand. This will allow your thoughts regarding your brand to settle, so that you use the 2 sets of edits included in your package to their fullest potential.
Your final piece of feedback is to be provided to your Consultant no later than 8 business days following the receipt of your first draft. Delivery of each round of edits requires a 2 business day turnaround.
Cover Letter.
If a cover letter forms a part of your package, it’s important to decide the type of cover letter you’d like prior to consultation.
You have a number of options for this. Please advise Arielle Executive PRIOR to your consultation which option you prefer. You will not be able to change your mind once work has commenced (i.e. after your Brand Discovery Consultation).
30-Minute Coaching Call.
Your 30-min coaching call is to be held between day 17 and 22 of your engagement with us. It is your responsibility to keep your appointments with us. Please note that our consultations book out several weeks in advance for these sessions.
If you reschedule this coaching call within 72 hours, there is a chance that we will not be able to find you a time within the engagement period.
Rescheduling Brand Discovery Consultations, Interview Coaching Sessions & Photo Shoots.
We require 72 business hours’ / 3 business days’ notice for rescheduling of any consultation, including interview coaching sessions and photo shoots. During the months of December and January, we require 7 business days’ notice.
Failure to give the required notice for Brand Discovery Consultation and Business Portrait Photography will result in a $550 cancellation fee. Consultation and Portraiture will not take place until the fee is paid in full.
Failure to give the required notice for Interview Coaching will result in a $275 cancellation fee. Coaching will not take place until the fee is paid in full.
Failure to give the required notice for Role Updates and Value Proposition Repositioning will result in a $275 cancellation fee.
Sickness, work, emergencies and unexpected events will still incur the scheduled cancellation fee, unfortunately there can be no exceptions.
After Sales Support.
An effective job search is the responsibility of the individual. There are many things that one needs to do in order to gain the necessary traction in the market. That includes applying for roles that align with your brand, networking, tailoring your resume and cover letter for each individual position, contacting recruiters individually, asking for introductions, following up on applications, following up on rejections to seek feedback, and of course, effectively articulating your value verbally is key too.
Application volumes through websites like Seek, LinkedIn and Indeed are high, and you can’t assume you will receive a call just because your application meets criteria. Recruitment is a ‘people’ business – it’s important to pick up the phone and follow your application up a few days after the deadline.
Additionally, not all jobs advertised are ‘real’, or live positions. If you are rejected, or receive no response from a role you thought you were a perfect match for, it might not be you, it might be them. Often, companies and recruiters advertise roles as talent pipelining exercises, to ‘tick a box’ in a hiring process when they already have the candidate in mind, or – just as often – forget to take it down after they have selected their shortlist.
The tools we build for you are designed to elevate your positioning, and to clearly articulate your value for the roles you do apply for. By virtue of going through our branding journey, you will understand your value proposition and how your career narrative comes together to support this. Your branded career tools therefore will be a representation of your value for the roles we’ve agreed you are targeting.
Your traction in the market is an entirely different process, and requires an effective job search strategy. This is something that we can help you through, but it is entirely separate to the branding journey that entails the build of your resume, LinkedIn profile and cover letter. Therefore, additional charges will apply. Not having an effective job search strategy and relying on your resume getting through applicant tracking systems alone is akin to sending out cold emails to CEOs and expecting a response.
If you don’t receive traction (positive responses to your applications) to your new brand once you start the job-seeking process, we ask that you provide examples of your applications; specifically the role advertisement and the version of your application (both cover letter and resume) that you sent out. It’s important that you’d made at least 5 applications prior to contacting us, where you applied and were rejected without receiving any contact from the recruiter. Importantly, you must have feedback from the recruiter on why you were rejected.
If you can provide us with 5 examples of rejections to your applications where you did not receive a positive response or invitation to discuss further specifically due to your resume and LinkedIn profile not having hit the mark, we will have enough data to realign your brand. Please note:
- If you didn’t align your resume and cover letter to the role you were applying for, this does not constitute a rejection of the brand that we’ve created.
- If you’re applying for roles beyond the direction that we’ve purposely built your brand to align to (i.e. outside of scope), this does not constitute a rejection of the brand that we’ve created.
- If you are passive in your job search strategy, relying on submitting your application through to job advertisements and job boards, this does not constitute a rejection of the brand that we’ve created.
- If you’re not following up on generic rejection emails to understand the specific reason that you’ve been rejected, this does not constitute a rejection of the brand that we’ve created.
- If you are passive in your job search strategy, and are not linking up with recruiters, this does not constitute a rejection of the brand that we’ve created.
- If the role required selection criteria, and we didn’t compile this part of your application for you, this does not constitute a rejection of the brand that we’ve created.
- If you received a positive response or invitation to discuss further from the recruiter after making an application, but the conversation did not progress beyond this, this does not constitute a rejection to your resume or brand.
- If you had difficulty representing your brand in conversation or did not pass the initial phone screening, this does not constitute a rejection to your resume or brand.
We can certainly advise on all the above, by providing coaching around how to approach recruiters, how to network, we can build selection criteria documents or create realigned versions of your resume. This, however, does fall outside of the original scope of works. For this, we will charge you additionally.
Career Transformations.
Please note career transformation work (moving to a different role type entirely or divergent industry) doesn’t qualify for our After Sales Support.
Gaining initial traction (landing an interview / face-time with hiring manager) if you’re transitioning to a different career path, will lay in large part in your ability to build relationships. Your brand is there to provide you with a platform on which you can have the right discussions once you’re in front of people. It will showcase how your background is a fit, what facets of your experience are relevant and what specific value you add to your target market.
We will build you a strong, commercially viable narrative that supports this direction, and unique value proposition that resonates with the direction you’re targeting. This adds credibility to the conversations that you’re having, and elevates your value. However, it is unlikely that you will be able to rely solely on your resume to get that *initial* cut-through. It’s to be used as more of a supporting document.
Additional Coaching Hours.
Our consulting arrangement will cease following the provision of all products. If you require assistance to align your career assets for specific roles after you have finalised your documents, would like interview advice, or if you would like to ask us about your suitability for certain roles, we are happy to provide you with this advice at an additional charge.
Please let us know and we will provide you with a quotation. If further consultation is required, additional charges apply.
